David Lee Roth has canceled all but one of the remaining dates on his 2026 U.S. tour.

The former Van Halen frontman is now scheduled to perform only his previously announced August 7 show in Sturgis, South Dakota.

Roth launched the tour in April and had extended the schedule through early September. Recently canceled shows include stops in Dillon, Colo.; Clear Lake, Iowa; Louisville, Ky.; and East Moline, Ill.

No reason was given for the cancellations. However, media reports have suggested that weak ticket sales at several June and July performances may have contributed to the decision.

Following the announcement, former Van Halen vocalist Sammy Hagar posted a video message on social media inviting Roth to join him at one of his upcoming Las Vegas concerts.

“Hey, Dave. Sammy here,” Hagar said. “I just got a call from Michael Anthony … about your tour getting canceled. And I wanna say from the bottom of my heart, I’m sorry. I hope you’re well. I hope there’s not a physical problem.”

“Honestly, Mike and I love the fact that you’ve been out there doing it, supporting the greatest band in the world that we were both part of,” he continued. “And, yeah, I’m really sorry. That’s f*cked up. Supporting what we did in this band to keep this music alive. You and I, Mikey, Al [Alex Van Halen], Ed [Van Halen] cannot be replaced. So, when you’re ready to carry on, you go, brother. Mike and I support you.”
