Neil Diamond has announced Wild At Heart, the third album stemming from his collaborations with producer Rick Rubin.
The album was originally recorded during sessions for Diamond’s chart-topping 2008 album Home Before Dark, which has since been certified Gold in the United States.
Wild at Heart, which features 10 previously unreleased tracks, will be released on May 8th via Capitol/UME.
“My work with Rick was a labor of love,” Diamond said in a statement, “and I’m so gratified that these songs will finally be set free into the world to complete our trilogy of work.”
Diamond has also shared a trailer for the upcoming release, which shows him sitting with Rubin in the same studio where they recorded Wild at Heart and reflecting on the album’s creation all those years ago.
“You wrote a lot of songs in a brief window, there,” Rubin said. “You were on fire.” “I couldn’t stop myself, it was a good feeling,” Diamond replied. “I was living with these songs for about a year. They were part of my everyday life.”
