{"id":2233310,"date":"2026-09-17T13:19:38","date_gmt":"2026-09-17T17:19:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wioe.com\/site\/?p=2233310"},"modified":"2026-09-17T13:19:39","modified_gmt":"2026-09-17T17:19:39","slug":"bob-dylan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wioe.com\/site\/2026\/09\/bob-dylan\/","title":{"rendered":"Bob Dylan"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Columbia Records and Legacy Recordings have announced that they will release&nbsp;<strong>Bob Dylan<\/strong>&#8216;s &#8216;<em>The Rolling Thunder Revue: The 1976 Live Recordings<\/em>&#8216; on November 6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 39 CD box set fully captures all professionally recorded shows from the second leg of Dylan&#8217;s legendary 1976 Rolling Thunder Revue tour alongside a stellar company of backing musicians and guest artists, yet another breakthrough in Dylan&#8217;s performance career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A 3-LP set of the complete May 16, 1976 Fort Worth show, remixed from the original multi-track tapes, will be released on the same date. &#8220;Going, Going, Gone&#8221; from that show is available below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second leg of the legendary Rolling Thunder Revue tour saw Dylan welcome old friends and collaborators to his troupe. Dylan reunited with&nbsp;<strong>Joan Baez<\/strong>&nbsp;to perform a moving set of duets across many dates, including performances of &#8220;Blowin&#8217; in the Wind&#8221; and &#8220;Railroad Boy.&#8221; Dylan&#8217;s band included bassist&nbsp;<strong>Rob Stoner<\/strong>, violinist&nbsp;<strong>Scarlet Rivera<\/strong>, drummer&nbsp;<strong>Howie Wyeth<\/strong>, guitarists&nbsp;<strong>Mick Ronson<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Steven Soles<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>David Mansfield<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>T Bone Burnett<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\"><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Burnett recalls, &#8220;The Rolling Thunder Revue was the first national punk rock tour. It opened a door that led to a furious explosion of new music \u2014 The&nbsp;<strong>Clash<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Elvis Costello<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>The Ramones<\/strong>, The&nbsp;<strong>Sex Pistols<\/strong>&nbsp;and on and on. Dylan had done it again. He is good at walking through doors that no one else even sees, doors that others think are walls.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 39 CD Deluxe set includes 381 tracks, 371 of which have never been released, plus a booklet with liner notes by Mikal Gilmore and rare photographs.
