{"id":2233308,"date":"2026-09-17T13:12:16","date_gmt":"2026-09-17T17:12:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wioe.com\/site\/?p=2233308"},"modified":"2026-09-17T13:12:18","modified_gmt":"2026-09-17T17:12:18","slug":"the-beatles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wioe.com\/site\/2026\/09\/the-beatles\/","title":{"rendered":"The Beatles"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The&nbsp;<strong>Beatles<\/strong>&nbsp;have shared a previously unheard version of &#8220;Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown),&#8221; featuring&nbsp;<strong>George Harrison<\/strong>&nbsp;on sitar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is the latest song released from the upcoming expanded special edition of&nbsp;<em>Rubber Soul<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)&#8221; is the third preview from the album, after &#8220;Michelle (Take 1)&#8221; and &#8220;songwriting work tape.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The special edition of&nbsp;<em>Rubber Soul<\/em>, featuring the classic 1965 album with newly-shared double A-side single &#8220;Day Tripper \/ We Can Work It Out,&#8221; and previously unreleased session recordings and home demos, is set for release on October 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\"><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking about playing drone notes on sitar, the Beatles lead guitarist once said, &#8220;It felt very familiar to me to listen to that music. Around that time I&#8217;d bought a cheap sitar in a shop called Indiacraft in London. When we were working on &#8216;Norwegian Wood&#8217;, it just needed something and it was quite spontaneous. I picked the sitar up and kind of found the notes.
