The Rolling Stones<\/strong> have released Foreign Tongues<\/em>, the legendary rock band’s latest studio album and a follow-up to their Grammy Award-winning Hackney Diamonds<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 14-track album features new songs including “Jealous Lover,” “In the Stars,” and opening track “Rough and Twisted,” along with a cover of Amy Winehouse<\/strong>‘s “You Know I’m No Good.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recorded in less than a month at Metropolis Studios in London, the album reunites Mick Jagger<\/strong>, Keith Richards<\/strong> and Ronnie Wood<\/strong> with producer Andrew Watt<\/strong>. Longtime collaborators Darryl Jones<\/strong>, Matt Clifford<\/strong> and Steve Jordan<\/strong> also contributed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, the album includes a posthumous appearance by late drummer Charlie Watts<\/strong> on “Hit Me In The Head,” recorded during one of his final studio sessions before he died in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The album also features guest appearances from Steve Winwood<\/strong>, Paul McCartney<\/strong>, Robert Smith<\/strong> of The Cure<\/strong>, and Chad Smith<\/strong> of the Red Hot Chili Peppers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reflecting on the recording process, Jagger said, “I loved doing these recording sessions in London at Metropolis. It was a very intense few weeks recording Foreign Tongues. We had 14 great tracks and we went as fast as we could. I like the room there as it’s not too big so you can feel the passion from everyone.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Richards added, “The Foreign Tongues album has a continuity from Hackney Diamonds and it was great to be working in London again, and to have that London vibe around us. It was a month of concentrated punch. To me, it’s all about the enjoyment of it. I’m blessed to be able to do this and long may it last.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
