Blackheart, the independent entertainment company founded by Rock & Roll Hall of Fame artists Joan Jett and her creative partner Kenny Laguna, together with Seeker Music, the songwriter-led music publishing and record company, have announced a partnership on Joan Jett and the Blackhearts’ Iconic catalog of music.

Bringing together the trailblazing work of Blackheart, with Seeker Music’s innovative approach, the deal will usher in a new era for the iconic Joan Jett and the Blackhearts’ catalog.

Blackheart’s President Carianne Brinkman and Seeker Music CEO Evan Bogart led the deal.

Blackheart and Seeker Music also announced plans for putting out never-before-heard music, activations around Jett’s best-selling global tours, and creative re-releases of beloved albums.

“I’m thrilled we will be working alongside Seeker and Evan Bogart,” Brinkman said. “I can’t imagine a better partnership that is at once completely new but a return to a shared legacy that began with the belief in Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. Evan and Seeker mirror our ideals in honoring authenticity while facing forward and I’m excited to see what this partnership will bring.”

“Seeker joining forces with Joan, Kenny, Carianne and Blackheart isn’t just a partnership, it’s a personal, powerful reunion,” Bogart added. “It’s a full circle moment, reigniting a legacy and carrying the torch forward with the same rebellious spirit that ignited it . We’re beyond excited to see where this journey takes us, together!!”

Mick Jagger Engaged

Posted on 19 April 2025 by Brian Walsh

Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger is engaged to his longtime partner Melanie Hamrick.

Although Jagger actually proposed two or three years ago, Hamrick, a former ballerina, confirmed the engagement in a recent interview with the French publication Paris Match.

She also added that they have no concrete plans for a wedding.

“We’ve been engaged two or three years,” Hamrick said. “Maybe one day we’ll marry, maybe not. We are so happy in our current life that I would be too afraid to change anything.”

Jagger, 81, and Hamrick, 37, have been together since 2014 and share a son, Deveraux, who was born in 2016. Hamrick first met Jagger while he was on tour with The Rolling Stones.

Jagger was previously married once, to Bianca Jagger from 1971 to 1978, with whom he shares one child. He also has children with Marsha Hunt, Jerry Hall, and Luciana Gimenez Morad.

Bruce Springstein

Posted on 06 April 2025 by Brian Walsh

Seven previously-unheard Bruce Springsteen records will be released for the first time this summer. The widely-rumored and long-anticipated Tracks II: The Lost Albums is set for release on June 27 via Sony Music.

A set spanning 83 songs, The Lost Albums fill in rich chapters of Springsteen’s expansive career timeline — while offering invaluable insight into his life and work as an artist.

“‘The Lost Albums’ were full records, some of them even to the point of being mixed and not released,” said Springsteen. “I’ve played this music to myself and often close friends for years now. I’m glad you’ll get a chance to finally hear them. I hope you enjoy them.”

The Lost Albums offer unprecedented context into 35 prolific years (1983-2018) of Springsteen’s songwriting and home recording.

“The ability to record at home whenever I wanted allowed me to go into a wide variety of different musical directions,” Springsteen explained.

Springsteen also released a first look at the collection – “Rain In The River” — which comes from the lost album Perfect World.

Pre-order Tracks II: The Lost Albums here.

The Lost Albums will arrive in limited-edition nine LP, seven CD and digital formats. A companion set — Lost And Found: Selections from The Lost Albums — will feature 20 highlights from across the collection, on two LPs or one CD.
