Michael Parks, who starred as Jim Bronson in the 1969-1970 NBC-TV show, Then Came Bronson” and had a #20 hit in 1970 with the show’s theme, “Long Lonesome Highway”, died Tuesday (May 9) of unspecified causes at the age of 77). The Corona, California native first married at the age of 16 and was the father of actor of actor James Parks. Beginning with an appearance in 1958 on TV’s “Alfred Hitchcock Presents,” Michael’s own acting career spanned at least 50 movies and over two dozen television shows, including such films as “Bus Riley’s Back In Town”, both “Kill Bill” movies, “The Happening” and “Death Wish V”. On television he had a recurring role on “Twin Peaks”. As a singer he recorded eight albums, though he never returned to the charts after his one hit single.
